Talking Headlines - by Bill Green

Talking Headlines - December 2008

2008 was the year that we lost the fight to save the planet.

Our politicians only went along with our global warming concerns for an election ride. If you want proof of how hypocritical they all are just check Peter Garrett's record.

PolitIcians are committed to future industrial growth and supporting the industries and the individuals who ruined the planet and the planet's economy. It's easy to get this evidence. You can simply ring their offices and ask them if they are in favour of further growth of industry, manufacturing and population. Don't do it during the holiday period they are away enjoying the last breath of the environment.

GERMAINE v BAZ ON AUSTRALIA

December 18th 2008 09:10
Germaine has been in training all her life to blast Baz’s Australia off the face of the earth. She has done it with such consummate style and telling content. It made me laugh ( I laugh with writers who nail those who deliberately contort “facts” in an attempt to create persuasive excrement) for she knew the culture from the hell of aboriginal life, the bull of cattle overlanding, to the pathetic attempts of some actors to know their characters - with the exception of David Wenham and Bryan Brown. The only thing she didn’t mention was the trickery of outback magic. Bryan Brown’s movie Dead Heart revealed this in one of the most accurate portrayals of outback Australia. Why didn’t Baz watch it?

CHINA PERSECUTES NEW LIFE

December 17th 2008 11:30
China does have some new life. Since the Olympics, according to the Washington Post, a group called Charter 2008, has attempted to begin a new movement of academics and writers, who want to democratize China. Already members have been arrested but the movement is growing rapidly. Charter 2008 has spelled out its anxiety.

Their document bluntly refutes the idea that China offers a global political alternative. Instead, it argues that China is "the only country among the major nations that remains mired in authoritarian politics." The result, it says, is that "our political system continues to produce human rights disasters and social crises, thereby constricting China's own development but also limiting the progress of all human civilization." Charter 2008 spells out 19 steps for reform, including a new constitution, freedom of speech and assembly, an independent judiciary and democratic elections for all levels of government.

It can only get better.

Remember Rudd for his betrayal of climate change science (you won't remember Garrett at all) and make him sweat. With the five percent he has just alerted us, who are doing everything (conserving water, cutting winter fires, riding instead of driving, never eating red meat etc.) that climate change science is just bullshit.

I know I'm not slipping away from the responsibility of cutting back on carbon in the style that he has. But now there are many who were gearing themselves for changes who will not make the effort. The mentality of Australian bureaucrats has descended on the government and they're frightened of the response of those who brought us to planet endangerment and, with their irresponsible greed, to the end of the economy as we know it.

Our business schools have to wear part of the blame. They created uncaring and unquestioning MBAs and flooded our corporations with their rampant greed and ultra trickery. How could a child in their right mind deal in the way their parents have with Credit Default Swaps? Let's bet that your bad debts are better than mine and, anyway, if they come to nothing at least we can put them on the books as assets until we try and get the money from the poor bastards who were suckered into taking mortgages way beyond their means. And, listed as assets, no matter how fragile, they will confuse shareholders, other loan companies and those we owe money to. Now how much money is thought to be involved in CDSs? Are yes, $60 trillion.

And when the economy is back raging again we can turn our attention to climate science so we can make money again.

There is one image I'd like RFudd and the rest of these bastards to remember. Last year in Amherst, in the Central Gold Fields of Victoria, in drought, and at the height of a summer day a dam was iced over in thirty minutes. It was a freak storm of golf ball sized hail, a quick melt and a quick freeze again after nearly 40 MM of rain. A kilometre away they had 15 mm of rain. Never in Australia has a dam been iced over in summer, let alone during drought conditions. But the scientist warned us of these isolated and devastating storms: they're part of climate change. A mini ice storm in the style of the larger ones in the north eat of the US at the moment. At least it's winter there.

CHINA WINS GOLD FOR DECEIT

December 10th 2008 02:26
So, now we know that China is going down the gurgler faster than expected. Apparently that $6/700 BILLION that they announced they were going to pump into their economy isn't forthcoming. And as I've mentioned before it won't be forthcoming. Chinese bureaucrats lie without thought of the consequences when they're sprung.

Talking Headlines was the first to spring them in this lie. If you want to understand what is happening in China, know the very worst of their culture, and know how they can never be trusted, read Compulsively Murdering Mao by Bill Green. I was there for three weeks as America was attempting to begin profound diplomatic relations. I saw the problems China, America and Australia were trying to pretend didn't exist. China shot 50 dissidents in the street the day before I arrived with Australia's deputy prime minister. They imagined that was the best ploy to intimidate us. IT MADE US ANGRY.

THEY ATTEMPTED TO PUSH US AROUND PHYSICALLY THE WAY THEY DO WITH THEIR OWN PEOPLE. THE AMERICANS ATTEMPTED TO PUSH US AROUND IN A SIMILAR STYLE DESPITE USING OUR EMBASSY AS A BASE TO KICK OFF THEIR OWN NEGOTIATIONS.

IF YOU WANT TO UNDERSTAND HOW CHINA, AMERICA AND AUSTRALIA PLAY THEIR GAMES, READ COMPULSIVELY MURDERING MAO. IT IS AVAILABLE ON AMAZON. FURTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE ON WWW.BILLGREENBOOKS.COM . THE BOOK WILL ENABLE YOU TO STRIKE LIGHTNING LIKE INTO THE CULTURES OF THE THREE INVOLVED COUNTRIES.

Prime Minister Rudd shows his climate change ignorance as he hands out his $2 billion dollars to new and used car dealers. If they hadn't got the $2 billion a third of them would have disappeared. How great that would have been. I've been ripped off twice by used car dealers . One of my purchases had an oversized wheel and the tyre blew on a rough road. Another dealer registered a car in my name despite a clause saying the contract rested on the concurrence of another party. I did win that one, after some sharp bickering.

BUT HEY, THE REAL REASON THEY SHOULDN'T BE HELPED (AS I'VE POSTED BEFORE) IS THAT THEIR INDUSTRY IS DEDICATED TO CHANGING THE CLIMATE

US Intelligence agencies have finally confessed that Pakistan's military is cooperating with terrorists, even giving them training and support (Today's Australian, PAGE 9). I reported in September that this was happening, and even earlier on another blog, Exposing Humour. It was easy to read the situation but once a blundering bureaucracy gets into the habit of handing out hundreds of millions of dollars they believe, like th US in this example, that they are controlling things. Naive guys.

Maybe ABC News, who I castigated some days ago for not having a journalist capable of reporting the facts of Pakistan and the terrorists, will begin to get the reality. Actually I was wrong on that matter. The ABC have plenty of journalists capable of squirreling this information out, just not the capacity or influence to guide ABC News hierarchy on the true course of objective journalism. Objectivity is not reporting official comments and announcements for they are never without spin for a docile media.

LET'S SAY DEPRESSION OUT LOUD

December 4th 2008 03:07
Is everybody getting the subtle message blowing through the ether at the moment that the media is really talking about the approaching depression in quoting the plunging figures that apparently sum up our economy? They don't seem to be able to say it out loud.

I posted a depression story about six weeks ago because the horror of what was still out there. There's the credit card subprime (is that the right phrase?); there is a disappearing consumer group (it's been disappearing for months); and there is the credit default swaps that have to be re-interpreted. My main economist says that this is done by lending institutions to confuse authorities

Despite hundreds of millions of dollars paid to Pakistan by the US to fight terrorism the country gets along quite well with its terrorists.

The latest hit in Mumbai was a warning to the US to desist with the drone bombings and warning to Pakistan that the government can be easily hit any time they begin genuinely chasing terrorists
