AGAIN AUSTRALIANS PROVE THEMSELVES INHUMAN AND COWARDLY
January 4th 2009 22:06
The cowardly and inhuman trait of the Australian character is reflected in the reluctance to take Guantanamo refugees. These were the poor bastards that were rendered by the US covert agencies and their affiliates and were imprisoned and tortured illegally.
Mostly they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. They were adolescent adventurers, like the two Australians, who blundered their way into the area. Hey, they joined the Taliban, who were trained and supported by the CIA, remember? What a blast for testosterone addicted kids. However although the Australians were close to action, there were many who were arrested on no grounds whatsoever, perhaps having the wrong sounding name. Also remember that the CIA didn't have any members who spoke Islamic until quite recently. Those who spoke the language were not to be trusted.
So, how should we treat those who are innocent: the authorities didn't even have enough evidence to charge them with anything, and of course most never went to Bush's illegal trials. Evidence taken under torture is not valid in civilised countries. Bush personally took it upon himself to attempt to legalise it. What a fucking clown. Slowly but inexorably the legal system will run him down. If he's not indicted he will at least be the laughing stock of history. Problem is Australians are so closely linked to the administration of we will be smeared by it.
How did Australians develop the cowardly positions they now take. Could it be that the population has grown up whorshipping the failures of ANZACS and so retreat at the first moment they see that courage may be required? Can't be, could it?
