GILLARD, SHORTEN, HOUSE, BRILLIANT PETTY POLITICIANS

September 5th 2010 02:01
Labor's strategists are brilliant at petty politics and the machinations required to manipulate unionists. Unsullied voters are another game. Those who are not to be intimidated by union bosses who have never down a day's labour in their lives can think clearly.

The first indication that Gillard, Shorten and House had never cogitated over the state of East Timor was the abominable assumption that Gillard could declare they could set up detention camps on the island without asking. Had none of the petty strategists realise that Australia had allowed the slaughter of 250,000 by the Indonesian military over 25 years, and when the UN had commanded them to occupy the country they delayed their invasion by 48 hours, which gave the Indonesian military time to slaughter the known East Timorese dissidents before departing?

In the wake of that horror Australia attempted to steal the oil in the East Timor Sea. They had tried before when Gareth Evans signed an oil agreement with the Indonesian minister for trade. The petty politicians don't think history can teach them anything. That's why they fuck up so often.

The new petty politicians are ignorant of foreign affairs and, under them and/or the Coalition, Australia will languish.

Hi Bill,
I agree, the difference between the two is almost non-existent, on the foreign affairs front alone.

However, I'd much rather a Labor Fed gov than Lib, who are beneath contempt to say the least, with the bribes and the false promises, the over expenditure and budget black holes, and right wing conservatism embued with the Mad Monk's own distorted throw back version of womens' rights or lack of them. etc

Worse than Timore Leste was how we abandoned and turned a blind eye to West Papua's absorption into Indonesia (really usurption) and now Papua has fallen silently in the night into Indon hands.... the silence is deafening as they say...

Yes, fog we are a frightened country, and neither major party has the substance or perception to overcome how we are regarded by Indonesia.

East Timor and Papua mean we can never boast again of our independence and compassion.

Cheers, Bill.

Bill,
you should do an update on the Indon military build up, I did one some time back, a year or so ago.

Now, recently the USA military got a surprise with the $80 million spy satellites Indon was launching into space, they can follow a platoon of troups in real time video....hmmm

Also, they are getting Sukhoi jets, which are cheaper, fly faster, climb higher and shoot further than the idiotic Super Hornet nonsense we agreed to, which has a limited 750k range!

I really wonder if we are being saboutaged from within sometimes....

cheers
