If we can't deal with pathetic meglomaniacs how can we deal with climate change?

How pathetic of the UN to believe the democracies of the world can address climate change when it can't deal with a meglomaniac like Mugabe, or the Burmese military cowards.
They need waking up. For humans and the other mammals on the planet climate change will be horrible. Oh yeah, we have carbon emission trading. Wake up for God's sake. Climate change has been triggered and there is no ultimate capacity to change that. Now governments need to teach us how to survive it. They need to discover those cultures that have thrived in extreme weather conditions and have our youth learn the ways.
Several organisations have explained to the Federal and State governments that this is the way to go but their approaches have been rejected. Governments are in favor of optimism when they have proved themselves visionless and inadequate. Carbon trading? Come on that was a sop to the corporate world: hey, go along with it, you might be able to make money out of it. Remember, corporate America still doesn't believe climate change is happening, so what can you reasonably expect from them? More carbon emissions and the dutiful and hypocritical language of the advertising copywriter.
