KEVIN RUDD'S GLIBNESS ON CLIMATE CHANGE MAKES HIM IRRELEVANT
June 6th 2008 00:11
Kevin Rudd's "fine tuning" of the response to climate change is a little frightening. He doesn't yet understand what climate change is about. It's arriving in the form of cyclones, drought ( we're in the middle of one, remember Kevin; doing some fine tuning on that are we?) killing heat and fire.
It seemed to me that his "fine tuning" phrase to Jon Faine would bring down ridicule, or a spray of comments that would put it in perspective, but it quickly became clear that Jon thinks climate change is controllable by a considered bureaucratic response. And this after Burma's taste of change.
If we turn to anyone for advice and concepts we need someone as experienced and knowledgeable as Bob Brown. He's been predicting what we're receiving now for at least a decade and a half. Kevin Rudd's has been not understanding climate change for close to eight months (he was alerted by concerned voters).
The very moment that politicians begin to be glib about climate change they can be dismissed. That rules out Kevin (God will prevail - yeah, like he's been doing) and Peter.

How's it going? I originally had this blog - talking headlines -
I was Sophie Bell - I am in Brisbane - it is interesting to look back and read what I wrote in 2006 - well I got it wrong about Peter Garrett - who woulda thought?
All the best. Keep up the good work

Hi Sophie, thanks for the excellent platform and work. There's a Garret song called Toxic Peter going up on You Tube quite soon. It's not too bad either.
