The powerful bureaucrats and politcians hide their foul ways until they are able to make decisions that change the lives of others. But they do reveal themselves to us in personal ways. Whether it's Putin, showing himself stripped to the waist and carrying a phallic symbol in bear country, Bush on a quiet horse, or Cheney shooting a fellow shooter, they are reveling in the hubris that their position indulges. They can get away with shit and they do. They reverse their previous stands on issues, usually to do with the human rights of those who voted them in.
America has been pouring money into Georgia, and Russia has warned Georgia about joining NATO. The Georgian leaders have allowed their army to be oppressive in several northern, independent enclaves. These fucks have been voted in by many peace-loving people who haven't trained themselves to spot these bastards, the wolves in sheeps' clothing. Remember the old children's tales that warned us of the horrors buried in the niceties of the familiar. Grandma Putin and Bush are about ready to discard the last of Granny's clothing for the sleek pelt of the wolf.
Problem is the woodcutters have been advancing on these powerful nihilists (in their personal lives and lusts) for a while now and they haven't responded appropriately; more like careless criminals.
They're not really hypocrits for they have been showing us what they're like since they have been in power.

I can never get over Gareth Evans ,for as a lawyer he signed petitions condemning Indonesia's murdering in East Timor, and then he's in power as foreign minister and signing the oil deal with his Indonesian counterpart that takes the oil from the East Timorese, the rightful owners. He was supporting the Indonesia's bloody and brutal oppression in East Timor. Fuck him and Downer and the other weasels who went along with Indonesia. Downer got his recently being given the part-time UN rep position in Cyprus
